India, Aug. 13 -- A routine preseason football practice in Arkansas turned into a hazardous wildlife encounter when a high school player discovered a venomous cottonmouth snake nestled inside the padding of his helmet. The student-athlete, participating in drills at Maumelle High School, had been wearing the headgear for approximately one hour before feeling unusual movement just after warmups concluded.
