India, Nov. 4 -- New York based food manufacturer SLR Food Distribution Inc has initiated a voluntary recall for its ground cinnamon over risks that the product may be contaminated with lead. The recalled product was sold via the firm's Wise Wife brand.

Details of the Recall

SLR Food Distribution Inc., based out of Hicksville, New York, is voluntarily recalling its Wise Wife Brand Ground Cinnamon because it may contain high levels of lead. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the voluntary recall.

The recall affects ground cinnamon products in retail and grocery stores in 14 different states within the United States. The cinnamon was distributed from September 8, 2025 through June 28, 2026.
