India, Oct. 10 -- The Singapore Grand Prix sprint race was delayed on Saturday after heavy rain left parts of the street circuit waterlogged. The FIA confirmed the postponement after the medical car inspected the track and identified significant standing water around Turns 2 and 3. Track marshals were working to clear wet patches as teams waited for the race to get underway. Red Bull's Max Verstappen was set to lead the field from pole position, with Mercedes' George Russell alongside him and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc starting third.
