India, May 19 -- In another case in the Spanish capital Madrid, the judges have ordered the country's tax authority to return more than 55 million euros ($64 million) to pop singer Shakira as it is proven to have wrongfully accused the singer of tax evasion.

According to the case, the Spanish tax authority has accused Shakira of spending over 183 days in Spain in the year 2011. Under the tax laws of Spain, those who spend over 183 days in Spain are recognized as residents of the country and are obligated to pay the personal income tax of the country. As per the conclusions of the tax authority, it penalized the Colombian singer with large sums of money back in 2021.
