India, Nov. 12 -- Security forces had intensified its counter insurgency operations in eastern Arunachal and eastern Assam following the recent spurt in insurgent activities in the region.

Since Oct 16, when insurgents attacked an Assam Rifles Company Operating Base (COB) in Changlang district, there has been a series of activities in the area.
