India, Sept. 4 -- School Holiday Tomorrow (September 5): The school holiday on Saturday is not the same across India. While Punjab has September 5 listed as a school holiday for Baba Jiwan Singh Ji's birthday, several other states are watching the weather as the IMD has forecast heavy rain in parts of northern, eastern and northeastern India.

IMD has issued a heavy-rain warning for September 5 in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and West Bengal, among other areas. However, a weather alert does not automatically close schools. District administrations and individual schools take the final decision based on local conditions such as flooding, waterlogging, landslides and road safety.
