India, Oct. 4 -- The planet will reach its opposition position on October 4, 2026, placing the ringed planet in the sky opposite the Sun and allowing it to be viewed during most hours of the night.

According to NASA, this is one of the most interesting celestial events to observe during the month of October. At opposition, Saturn is about 784 million miles (1.26 billion km) from Earth, reaches magnitude 0.3, and appears about 19.7 arcseconds wide through a telescope.
