India, July 26 -- The San Francisco 49ers have made a roster change ahead of training camp, parting ways with defensive tackle Evan Anderson while bringing back veteran lineman Kevin Givens on a one-year contract. Anderson, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2024, impressed during his rookie campaign but faced a tougher path to regular playing time after the arrivals of rookie defensive tackles Alfred Collins and CJ West.

Alongside Givens' return, the 49ers also confirmed that Alfred Collins, running back Isaac Guerendo, tight end George Kittle and defensive lineman Mykel Williams have been placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
