India, July 2 -- The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has upgraded the recall of approximately 650,000 bags of Zapp's and Dirty brand potato chips to a Class 1 designation, its most serious risk level, due to potential Salmonella contamination. Utz Quality Foods voluntarily recalled specific Zapp's and Dirty Brand potato chips nationwide due to potential Salmonella contamination linked to a contaminated dry milk supplier.
Although the seasoning tested negative for Salmonella, products, including Zapp's Bayou Blackened Ranch and Dirty Brand Salt and Vinegar, were pulled out of caution, and consumers are urged to contact customer care for a refund
