India, June 24 -- The Russia-Ukraine war may finally head towards a settlement and peace, after more than 4 years of Russia launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Fresh signs of diplomacy have emerged amid growing pressure on Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Russia is 'ready for peace talks' with Ukraine, even as Kyiv intensifies drone attacks on Russian oil refineries and military infrastructure.

The statement comes as fuel shortages spread across parts of Russia, restrictions tighten in Crimea, and both sides continue to battle over the future of Ukraine's territory, security and sovereignty.
