India, Aug. 16 -- Ukraine struck Russia's Progress Rocket and Space Center in the Samara region using domestically produced FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles. The targeted facility-located roughly 900 kilometres (560 miles) deep inside Russian territory-is a vital asset under Russia's Roscosmos space agency.

The Target: The Progress Rocket and Space Center produces Soyuz launch vehicles and Earth remote sensing satellites.
