India, Jan. 1 -- The 137th Rose Parade kicks off New Year's Day in Pasadena with a festive mix of music, floats and tradition. Despite forecasted rain in Southern California, thousands of fans and TV audiences across the US are tuning in to watch performers bring energy to the iconic New Year's celebration. The parade begins at 8 am Pacific Time (11 am ET) on January 1 along Colorado Boulevard, with vibrant acts scheduled from start to finish.

This year's theme, "The Magic in Teamwork," reflects the spirit of collaboration behind floats, bands and performers - and ties perfectly to this year's Grand Marshal, NBA legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson.

The music portion of the parade begins with Bishop Briggs, known for her hit songs like "River"...
