India, Sept. 3 -- The futures of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja are expected to come under discussion at a BCCI meeting as India begin preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup. While Kohli and Jadeja are reportedly not facing the same level of pressure at present, Rohit's ODI future has emerged as a particularly significant issue.

According to a PTI report, it had been widely speculated that Rohit was informed by a member of the selection committee, rather than chairman Ajit Agarkar, that the panel had decided to move in a different direction. The report claimed that Rohit was angry over the development but there was also considerable buzz that he had agreed to retire after India's ODI series against England.
