India, July 27 -- Ravi Pradosh Vrat is one of the highly valued occasions in the worship of Lord Shiva. It takes place on a Sunday (Ravivar) and is considered an auspicious day to receive blessings of prosperity, health, and freedom from troubles. Followers of the festival follow the practice of fasting for the whole day and perform special religious rites during this holy time to be blessed by Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. In July 2026, worshippers of this holy festival will perform two Ravi Pradosh Vrat ceremonies, on July 12 and July 26. The last ceremony finishes on Monday, July 27, when the Trayodashi tithi (the thirteenth lunar day in the Hindu calendar) comes to an end.
