India, Aug. 3 -- Phil Collins has revealed for the first time the full extent of a health crisis in 2024 that left him unconscious and on life support after a relapse into alcohol addiction, telling doctors and family alike that "it could all have gone so terribly wrong."

In a new interview with The Sunday Times, the Genesis frontman and eight-time Grammy winner said he was first admitted to a hospital in Switzerland in connection with his drinking in November 2023. He was discharged just before Christmas that year but was rushed back into care weeks later, eventually spending seven months receiving treatment as his condition deteriorated sharply.
