India, Aug. 28 -- The growing international campaign regarding the health and treatment of Imran Khan in prison has found support from star cricketers former and active, with Australia Test captain Pat Cummins stepping in to back the cause. Cummins' publically supported the initiative spearheaded by former Australia captain Greg Chappell, moving the issue beyond administrative politics and into the realm of human rights.

Voicing his support for the 73-year-old World Cup winner, Pat Cummins said, "Adding my support here to GC and the other former international captains".

"I hope the court ordered medical assessment be allowed to run its course, and that family visits continue. I hope Imran Khan is treated with the dignity anyone deserves...
