Jammu, Sept. 2 -- In a major success against cross-border smuggling, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Border Security Force (BSF) busted an interstate narcotics syndicate in Kathua, which was being operated by Pakistan-based handlers using drones to drop drug consignments across the border.

Officials said four members of the module were arrested three from Punjab and one from Jammu who were part of a Pakistan-backed network involved in receiving and distributing narcotics.

The breakthrough came during a joint operation launched in the Hiranagar sector following specific intelligence inputs. During the operation, consignments of heroin and opium worth crores of rupees were recovered, dealing a major blow to the cross-border drug trade. ...
