India, Sept. 6 -- In a deeply divided world, Acts 17:26 offers a strikingly simple vision: "He made from one every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth." The verse comes from the apostle Paul's address in Athens, but its moral force reaches far beyond the ancient world. It reminds us that before we are divided by nationality, race, caste, language, class, or political identity, we belong to one human family.
This conviction does not erase difference. Humanity is not uniform. We speak many languages, prepare different foods, inherit different customs, and carry different memories.
