India, July 29 -- Odisha has been pounded by incessant rains, with the death toll mounting to at least three and over 2.32 lakh people in six districts affected. Pushed by a slowly moving weather system, the torrential rains, which continue to lash many parts of the State, have caused flash floods inundating several villages, prompting the evacuation of over 30,000 people and throwing daily life out of gear. Balasore has emerged as the worst-affected district as per the human population affected, with Keonjhar reeling under the highest number of flood deaths, according to relief official sources.
