India, Sept. 22 -- For weeks, the death of 18-year-old Nolan Wells has raised questions in Mississippi after he disappeared during a Fourth of July gathering on Horn Island and was later found dead in the water. Now, a Jackson County grand jury has completed its review and decided that the available evidence does not support criminal charges.

The grand jury reviewed witness accounts, physical evidence, digital records, cellphone information and GPS data as it examined what happened to Wells. It concluded that the position and condition of his body, along with the location and timing of its discovery, were consistent with drowning.
