India, Aug. 23 -- NHL 27 is set to bring a major franchise-focused update to the EA Sports hockey series when it launches later this year. EA has confirmed a September 11, 2026 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, while Deluxe Edition buyers can begin playing seven days earlier.

The game also introduces Connected Franchise, new team-specific playbooks, revamped arena atmospheres and a refreshed broadcast presentation.

Macklin Celebrini will headline the cover, while EA has placed greater emphasis on making each NHL team feel different on the ice. The new Connected Franchise mode will allow players to create and manage online leagues with up to 32 human-controlled teams.
