India, Sept. 13 -- Countries with sharply divergent strategic interests came together under India's BRICS chairship on Saturday to adopt a 45- page, 140-paragraph joint declaration, covering some of the most contentious issues confronting the international system, including the war in Gaza, the use of force, unilateral sanctions, global trade, terrorism and reform of the United Nations Security Council.
