India, Nov. 3 -- Nevada's 2026 midterm election is heading into Election Day with a closely contested governor's race and several important congressional battles. Republican Governor Joe Lombardo is defending his position against Democratic challenger Aaron Ford, while Democrats are seeking to strengthen their hold on three of the state's four US House seats.

The governor's contest remains particularly uncertain. Some polling forecasts give Ford a narrow advantage, while other election models continue to favour Lombardo. In the congressional races, Republicans appear best positioned in the 2nd District, while Democrats are favoured to retain the other three seats.
