India, March 27 -- The basketball world saw a torch pass on Thursday night when Kon Knueppel officially wrote his name in the history books. The rookie star of the Charlotte Hornets gave a superb demonstration of long-range shooting and thus broke the all-time NBA record for the most three-pointers made in a single regular season.

It was against the Golden State Warriors, Knueppel took down the legendary Steph Curry at the Spectrum Centre and achieved a feat that many experts considered would be an eternal record. With the 2026 playoffs coming up, the former Duke player has made it clear that he is the best shooter of the new generation.
