India, Sept. 9 -- The National Television Awards 2026 brought together some of the biggest names and shows on British television, with the winners chosen by the voting public. It was a particularly memorable night for Alan Carr, who walked away with two major honours. Celebrity Traitors won the Reality Competition award, beating the original The Traitors, while Carr himself received the Special Recognition award.

The ceremony also saw several familiar television favourites take home trophies. Emmerdale secured two wins, including a major acting honour for Jeff Hordley, who has played Cain Dingle for more than 25 years.
