India, April 15 -- More than 70 days after 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona home, investigators remain locked in one of the most puzzling missing-person cases in recent months. Despite surveillance footage, blood evidence, ransom notes and DNA samples, authorities have yet to identify a suspect or locate Guthrie.

The case has drawn nationwide attention due to Guthrie being the mother of television journalist Savannah Guthrie, continues to evolve as experts now suggest new DNA evidence could still unlock critical leads however, the complexity of mixed genetic material and limited physical clues has slowed progress, deepening the mystery.
