India, Oct. 8 -- Veteran actor Nana Patekar, 75, died on Thursday, October 8, after suffering a severe cardiac arrest at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa. He complained of severe chest pain before he was found unconscious at his home. A medical team was rushed to his residence after his caretaker alerted the hospital at around 4:18 AM.

Doctors began CPR at the residence and continued the resuscitation efforts while taking him to Manipal Hospital. Despite nearly 45 minutes of continuous CPR, Patekar could not be revived. He was declared dead at 5:20 AM.
