India, July 30 -- Meta Platforms is experiencing a sudden fall as its recently announced quarterly earnings report revealed a big mismatch between revenue gains and profits. According to the report, the company recorded revenues of $60.8 billion for the quarter, an increase of 28% year-over-year, although earnings per share were reported at $6.18 compared to the anticipated $7.18-$7.19. As a result, the company's stock fell to $585.61, representing a loss of $7.80 (or 1.31%), and then to $555.11 in after-hours trading with a fall of 5.21%.
