Manipur, July 31 -- Manipur Police and security forces arrested several active insurgent cadres involved in extortion activities across the state on Wednesday, July 30. An active cadre of PREPAK (Pro), identified as Ningombam Sanatomba Meitei (42), alias Nanao alias Gomeiba, a resident of Taothong Khunou in Imphal West district, was arrested from the vicinity of his residence. Police seized one mobile handset with two SIM cards and an Aadhaar card from his possession. He was reportedly engaged in extorting money from the general public.
