India, June 8 -- The Attari-Wagah border has long been associated with military precision, charged patriotism and the spectacle of the Beating Retreat ceremony. On Sunday evening, however, the historic venue witnessed something it had never seen before, a live performance by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman. The event, titled Jai Ho, A Musical Salute to the Bravehearts, transformed the JCP Stadium into a rare meeting point of cinema, nationalism and music. Organised as a tribute to the Border Security Force (BSF) and India's armed forces, the evening also served as a promotional launchpad for Main Vaapas Aaunga, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's upcoming Partition-era drama.
