India, Aug. 24 -- The first glimpse of Mahakali has arrived and the upcoming film is already raising a rather interesting question: what exactly is the mythology behind this dark, larger than life world? Titled Shukracharya's War Cry, the nearly three minute teaser introduces Akshaye Khanna as Shukracharya and offers a striking glimpse of Sriya Reddy in a fierce divine avatar.

The story appears to revolve around the eternal battle between Dharma and Adharma with the Asuras preparing to reclaim their place in the world.

At the centre of this conflict is a familiar name from Hindu mythology: Raktabeej.
