India, July 10 -- The Friday morning traffic was badly affected by an accident between a car and a lorry that caused traffic to grind to a halt on the M25. This event, alongside other repair works carried out on the motorway at another point, contributed to congestion in parts of Essex, Kent and Surrey. The M25 accommodates more than 200,000 cars per day on certain stretches, which makes it vulnerable to traffic jams.

There were major disruptions in rush hour traffic on the M25 after an incident occurred in the anticlockwise carriageway while road repairs took place overnight in the clockwise direction While all lanes have now been opened, there were still major delays for motorists this morning.
