India, Sept. 28 -- Lovlina Borgohain begins her Asian Games 2026 campaign against South Korea's Suyeon Seong in the women's 75kg quarter-final on Monday, September 28, with the Indian boxer looking to turn her Asian Games silver into gold in Aichi-Nagoya at Nishio Gymnasium.

The winner will secure at least a bronze medal, making this a medal-clinching bout for the Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist.

The Indian boxer defeated the South Korean 5-0 in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, a victory that secured her an Asian Games medal and helped her earn a quota place for the Paris Olympics. Lovlina eventually won silver in Hangzhou after losing to China's Li Qian in the final.
