India, Sept. 17 -- The Los Angeles broadcasting community has been plunged into mourning following a devastating aviation disaster, with NBCLA morning co-anchor Lynette Romero expressing that the newsroom is "heartbroken" over the loss of reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw.

The pair perished alongside a pedestrian when NewsChopper4 crashed in the Chatsworth neighbourhood on Tuesday evening while covering a major traffic accident.
