London court ends Raj Kundra's Royals ownership claims
India, Aug. 2 -- Court said Raj Kundra has no continuing rights over the Rajasthan Royals IPL franchise, ordered him to repay nearly US$4.94 mn and permanently restrained him from pursuing claims.
The High Court of Justice in London has ruled that businessman Raj Kundra has no continuing rights over the Rajasthan Royals Indian Premier League franchise, ordered him to repay nearly US$4.94 million and permanently restrained him from pursuing claims contrary to a settlement agreement that resolved the dispute in 2019.
The 41-page judgment, delivered by Mr Justice Griffiths on 16 July 2026, effectively brings to an end in England one of the longest-running ownership disputes arising from the fallout of the 2013 IPL betting scandal. The cour...
