India, Sept. 10 -- Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association following the dramatic Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest. The Brazil international was punished for his conduct around the tunnel area after the final whistle at Anfield. The sanction comes after an emotionally charged contest that finished 2-2.

Alisson had already been at the centre of a controversial sequence during the match, when his challenge on Neco Williams resulted in a penalty for Forest.

Liverpool FC eventually recovered to rescue a point, but the goalkeeper's frustration continued after the final whistle. The FA has now formally closed the disciplinary case.
