India, Sept. 20 -- Spoilers ahead for the Special Ops: Lioness Season 3 finale.

The third season of Special Ops: Lioness has come to a brutal end with its finale, The Unravelling, which finally reveals the truth behind Joe McNamara's kidnapping. After spending much of the season trying to understand who was behind the attack, Joe, Kaitlyn Meade and Byron Westfield are forced to confront a much bigger conspiracy than they initially imagined.

The previous episode ended with Joe rescued after six days in captivity but the ordeal had changed her completely. While Kaitlyn and Byron believed Oleksandra Balakin could be responsible for the operation, the finale takes the investigation in a very different direction.
