India, July 23 -- Indian badminton star Lakshya Sen will look to build on the momentum after beating Japan's Yushi Tanaka in the opening round of the China Open 2026. The 24-year-old dominated the first game but ended up falling short in the following one, and then bounced back in style to seal his berth in the Round of 16. Lakshya will now face another formidable opponent in the form of Victor Lai on July 23. The Canadian player overcame Chi Yu-jen of Taiwan in the previous match, pulling off a spectacular comeback after losing the first game.
