India, June 3 -- The marriage between Kumbh Mela fame viral girl Monalisa Bhosle and Farman Khan is legally invalid under the Hindu Marriage Act, the Madhya Pradesh government told Kerala High Court on Tuesday, adding that it could not be recognized as one of them is a Muslim. In a hearing on petitions connected with the case, Additional Solicitor General S V Raju for the Madhya Pradesh government submitted that even though there was a religious difference between the two, the marriage had taken place in a Hindu temple in Kerala. The state also argued that Monalisa was a minor when she married Khan and still lives with him believing that the marriage was valid.
