India, June 29 -- Korea Stock Market Today (June 29): South Korea's stock market traded lower on June 29 as investors remained cautious ahead of a major government announcement expected to reshape the country's semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) industries. The benchmark KOSPI index slipped more than 2% in early trading, while heavyweight chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix lost around 5% and 3%, respectively.

The weakness came despite reports that President Lee Jae-myung is set to unveil a 2,000 trillion won (around $1.3 trillion) investment blueprint focused on semiconductors, AI data centres and robotics.
