Srinagar, Aug. 22 -- Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Khadse, on Thursday said that the Khelo India Water Sports Festival in Srinagar reflects the Centre's firm commitment to promoting sports, nurturing local talent, and boosting tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. She emphasized that the synergy of sports and tourism holds the power to catapult the region onto the global stage.

Speaking at the inaugural event held at Dal Lake, Khadse noted, "There is immense potential in J&K. By integrating tourism with sports, we can elevate the region's profile internationally." She said the government is dedicated to providing top-tier infrastructure and opportunities to young athletes across the Union Territory.
