India, May 31 -- Congress government's stance on national song triggers controversy and questions nationwide.

After coming to power in Kerala, the Indian National Congress government led by Rahul Gandhi and Satheesan has found itself at the centre of controversy during the very first session of the Assembly. Questions and objections have been raised after the full six-part rendition of the national song Vande Mataram was reportedly not played in accordance with protocol for the Governor, and the song was allegedly described by some as being associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
