India, May 28 -- The much-awaited Malayalam action thriller Kattalan, starring Antony Varghese, has finally hit the theaters, and it quickly kicked off a ton of talk online. Directed by debutant Paul George , the movie seems to step into a grim world around ivory smuggling, nasty gang clashes and high-stakes action too. Early buzz kind of hinted at some possible link with the popular Marco cinematic universe, so expectations were pretty high, and people showed up in pretty large numbers on release day. But once the first shows rolled out, things got a bit mixed on X, and a part of viewers shared that they felt disappointed, mainly about the storytelling and the emotional punch.
