India, Sept. 12 -- After more than three decades of courtroom rulings, Judge Judy is getting ready to put her famous gavel away. Judy Sheindlin, 83, has confirmed that Judy Justice will come to an end with its final episode in October. This marks a major milestone in a television career that began with Judge Judy back in 1996.

While Sheindlin is stepping away from the bench, her courtroom legacy will continue through her son Adam Levy whose new show Adam's Law premieres on September 14.
