India, Sept. 30 -- Students from public secondary schools in Jigawa State can now access their NECO results after the state government resolved an issue that had temporarily prevented candidates from viewing their scores.

The delay followed a failed bank transaction involving examination fees paid by the state government to the National Examinations Council (NECO). The payment was returned, resulting in the withholding of results for affected public school candidates even after the nationwide release.

Why were Jigawa NECO results delayed?

Jigawa State Commissioner for Higher Education Prof. Isa Chamo said the problem was caused by a banking transaction failure rather than an issue with the candidates' examinations.
