India, Oct. 14 -- Morgan Barron scored early in the first period Monday afternoon for the visiting Winnipeg Jets, who never trailed in a 5-2 win over the New York Islanders in Elmont, N.Y. Nino Niederreiter, Logan Stanley, Tanner Pearson and Mark Scheifele also scored for the Jets, who have won two straight following a season-opening loss to the Dallas Stars. Goalie Eric Comrie made 33 saves. Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Emil Heineman scored for the Islanders, who are winless through three games for the first time since they opened 0-0-3 in 2009-10.
