India, April 26 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Development Front (JDF), backed by the Jamaat-e-Islami, has sharpened its political pitch in Jammu and Kashmir, declaring its intent to reshape the region's political landscape while reaffirming its commitment to contest elections under the Constitution of India.
Speaking to reporters, JDF State President Shameem Ahmed Thoker said the organisation aims to "change the political scenario" of Jammu and Kashmir by reengaging with the democratic system after decades of political detachment.
