India, July 25 -- Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan could not sustain its blockbuster opening day momentum at the Indian box office as the film witnessed a significant decline in collections on Friday. After storming theatres with a massive Day 1 haul, the political action drama saw its earnings almost halve on its second day.

Even so, the strong opening has helped the film achieve a major box office milestone. Jana Nayagan has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide within just two days of its release.
