India, July 23 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has extended the summer vacation for all government and recognised private schools in the Kashmir Division and Winter Zones of the Jammu Division till July 26, 2026, following the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) forecast of widespread rainfall. Schools, which were scheduled to reopen earlier, will now resume classes on Monday, July 27, as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students, teachers and staff.
