India, July 23 -- Leeds United has started formal talks with Manchester City for a summer transfer of goalkeeper James Trafford, the 23-year-old England international who has made himself the transfer priority of the team and current coach Daniel Farke to seize the place in the goalpost for the future season. A deal for him also attracts the attention of fellow Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Aston Villa, but in the pursuit of talent, Leeds has moved a step ahead of its rivals and started intensive negotiations with City officials. A replacement for the two departing first team goalkeepers has become the primary target for the Elland Road club.
